Dr. Curtis Wesley

Dr. Curtis Wesley is a new graduate and alum of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Tx. He graduated with a Ph.D. in mathematics, focusing in the field of Biomathematics. His primary interests are in epidemiology (the study of the spread and control of disease) and population modeling. He is currently researching the disease dynamics of Hantavirus, which is carried in wild rodents.

Dr. Wesley is a Shreveport native, with most of his family living within the Shreveport area. He also is an alum of Captain Shreve High School, and Louisiana Tech University, where he received his Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science. In upcoming years, Dr. Wesley will be assisting Dr. Carlos Spaht in the LaPrep program and is looking forward to interacting with the faculty and students.

Dr. Wesley's wife, Huilan Jiang, will also be assisting as a lecturer at LSUS. She is from Shanghai, China and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Masters degree in Statistics. She also has a Masters degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University.
