I received a B.S. in Statistics in 1979 and a MPH degree in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan in 1981. My career began in the pharmaceutical industry. I worked as a statistician for three different pharmaceutical companies from 1982 to 1995.
I was vice-president and co-owner of Red River Statistics, Inc. from 1995 through 2005. Red River Statistics was a contract research organization that provided statistical analysis, data management, and computer programming support to the pharmaceutical and health care industry.
I joined the Mathematics Department of LSUS in 2005. I currently teach introductory statistics, biostatistics, SAS programming, and intermediate statistics courses at LSUS. I am also president of the Shreveport Statistical Society which was created in 2005 to develop a statistical dialogue among students, faculty members, and individuals from private industry. In addition to my duties at LSUS, I am also president of my statistical consulting company, Andary Enterprises, Inc. Andary Enterprises provides statistical and SAS programming support to the health care industry. In this role, I have provided support to health care companies developing new treatments for cardiovascular disorders, anxiety, depression, and gastrointestinal disorders. Andary Enterprises has also employed students interested in statistics, so that they may obtain "real-world" experience.
