Dr. Mary Ellen Foley

Mary Ellen Foley received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 1992. Her main focus of interest is the process by which students learn mathematics. She is especially interested in how undergraduates learn the concepts of calculus. She is also very interested in enhancing the mathematical preparation of teachers at all levels. She joined the LSUS faculty in the Fall of 1998. She is a member of the Mathematical Association of America, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the Research Council on Mathematics Learning.
