Kevin Harbin received his Bachelor's degree in Math from LSUS several years ago, and began working for the Dallas office of the actuarial firm Mercer soon after graduating. John Gibson is an Actuary and Vice President of the local actuarial firm Werntz and Associates. Together, they will present an overview of the actuarial life: the college education necessary for the career of Actuary, the type of training to be expected upon employment, and a discussion of the sorts of problems actuaries solve on the job.

A 15-minute video will be shown as well, and there will be time for questions and answers about the actuarial life. The primary purpose of the presentation is to provide information to students (and graduates) considering actuarial careers.
